Imagine, it was all just a big misunderstanding, Jews vs Arabs

It feels like it goes back to the dawn of time. Israelites vs Canaanites, the kingdoms of Judah and Israel.

Judah in the south and Israel in the north.

Both kingdoms inhabited by people descended from Abraham, yet they developed distinct religious practices and cultural identities.

Imagine that all of a sudden they realized the great grandfather of 116 generations back wouldn’t have wanted all this fighting.

We can imagine.

Then again we could also imagine that Yankees fans and Red Socks fans could share a beer. Wait, they can! The Yankees-Red Sox rivalry is a dynamic one, where fierce competition coexists with a grudging respect and shared love for the game. Warring nations (particularly the leaders) should wake up and unify around common ground. It’s generally not the everyday people who want to fight.

A LinkedIn invitation feed looks like the image below and there some examples of language that does nothing to convince me to accept an invite from a stranger:

  • I’m looking to grow my network with like-minded professionals (What does that do for me? Sounds like it’s it’s all about him)
  • I’m impressed with marketing initiatives (very boilerplate)
  • Looking forward to connecting! (not the worst, but still could be seen as selfish)
  • we’re both members of the Business Development – The Missing Link Between Marketing & Sales group (so?)
  • I’d love to connect since I noticed you have a successful track record as an angel investor. (so?)
  • Let’s connect and elevate your leads to boost sales together transforming Opportunities, Enhancing Success! (more sales leads??)
  • I see we have mutual connections and are both members of the Digital Marketing Group. (That’s not enough)
  • I Hope You’re Doing Well. I have a lot of experience in Lead Generation, Data Entry, Data Mining, and Web Research. I am also an expert in LinkedIn Connecting, Sending Messages, and finding emails for leads of Lead Generation services. Do you need my services? (too many services)

This is the most important seat in America right now

I went from no running water to running for Congress.

Friend,

Some candidates for public office spend their entire careers moving from elected office to elected office, intern for their local elected officials, or dream of going to Washington D.C to work on Capitol Hill. Some work in the private sector.

My story was different…

I didn’t think I would ever be running for office, let alone for the U.S Senate in the biggest race for Republicans in 2024. 

But my call to serve was always there. I knew from a young age that I would join the Army, like my father before me, to put on a uniform of my own and dedicate myself to protecting the country I loved. 

So what changed? 

Well, in 2008 while deployed in Afghanistan, a roadside bomb detonated under the gas tank of my vehicle, leaving me seconds from death. 

I prepared myself to enter heaven’s gates as my fellow soldier extinguished the flames on my body. But I survived. 

It was God’s mercy that saved me that day. 

I spent years in recovery, and months in the burn unit where I endured over 30 surgeries. 

But despite the scars on my skin and the bandages on my body, I began to know myself better than I ever had. 

I had come face to face with my own mortality and was given a renewed calling to use my life to serve God and country. 

This completely reshaped the way that I looked at my life. The way that I looked at the world. And the way that I looked at my faith. It ultimately led to an entirely new journey, one that I didn’t know was in the cards. But one that will continue my lifetime of service.

Today, that journey has reached its climax — my decision to run for Senate was one that I made wholeheartedly with a prayer and a leap of faith  — it’s why I’m reaching out to you today.

Because I knew this was how my service to America would continue. 

I don’t have a fancy campaign office. 

I don’t have special interests lining my pockets.

I don’t have millions of dollars from megadonors coming in the door.

Immediately, the radical left has mounted a massive attack against me, in an attempt to smear my name with lies. 

But I am not afraid.

I have my faith to keep me grounded.

My faith has guided me through the darkest days of my life, where the line between life and death was the thinnest of threads. And it still guides me today. It’s brought me here to you.

Friend, I’d rather have a strong team of grassroots conservative patriots than anything that special interest donors could give me. 

I know we feel the same way about this country, and are not about to let it fall into the wrong hands when we need to turn things around the most. 

So, would you take 2 minutes out of your busy day to help me?

Asking for money gives me no pleasure. I’m not one who typically likes to ask for help. But the truth is this isn’t just MY fight, this is OUR battle. Together, I’m confident we can take back the Senate and bring better days for America.

You see that? All the way on the floor? That’s the bar for America’s public officials in 2023.

An FBI that’s been plagued by over 200,000 ethics violations.

A Secretary of Homeland Security that won’t do the simple task of securing our border.

A President who vacations while Americans are desperate for help.

Friend, This is former FBI Special Agent and Congressman Mike Rogers and I’ll always be proud of my country.

But I’m deeply embarrassed by the people calling the shots right now.

That’s why I’ve decided to take action.

When my successor in Congress was sworn in eight years ago, I thought that would be the last I’d ever see of the U.S. Capitol.

I was eager to get to work in my new role protecting Americans from Chinese cyberattacks.
